“A Well Respected Man About Town.”

Vintage ceramic statue, dressed up for a big adventure with two miniature handwoven baskets.

Baskets made from premium hand-dyed Madagascan raffia in green and pink tones with brown and beige accents.

They are ready to house your treasures – rings, crystals, dried flowers, rocks …

20 cm high, with baskets 5cm and 4cm in diametre. The baskets are attached to the statue and cannot be removed.

This is a one-of-a-kind creation, and you will receive the piece shown. As these baskets are hand-made items, imperfections are natural and part of the charm!

Maker’s note: I am not an Indigenous person and this is not a piece of Aboriginal art. I have deep respect for our First Nations people and their cultural traditions – always was, always will be. While examples of the coiled basketry technique can be found on nearly every continent, I do not wish for my work to in any way step on the toes of Indigenous creators. My work is inspired by my personal connection with Nature and my love of thrifting and upcycling. I am happy to connect you with Indigenous makers if you are pursuing Indigenous art.
