This Ruby and Sapphire necklace is a special design. The small gemstone beads are lightly faceted highlighting the beautiful shine these precious stones generate. The stones are all differently coloured and the gold beads highlight three bead sections with colour grouping.
The richness in the colour of the stones and their sparkle makes this a truly special piece. The gold beading patten highlights the beauty of the stone as well as allowing you to more easily layer it with your existing gold jewellery.
Each of my designs is crafted with the principle of being a beautiful individual piece of jewellery to wear as well as making the most of the special properties in the gemstones that are used.
Sapphire is considered to be a stone that fosters creativity and is a perfect pairing with ruby which is associated with love and passion.
All the jewellery is made on a small scale by me here in Byron Bay. In each necklace the stones are hand selected, designed on a board and then strung. Because I’m working with naturally occurring stones every necklace is a one off with subtle colour combinations that can’t be repeated in another necklace. The delicate natural quality in each stone make each one individual and I go out of my way not to buy heat treated or dyed crystals. I want the small imperfections within the stones and individual colour variations that make you very aware that this isn’t a mass-produced item. This curated designing can always be seen in the quality of the necklace.
